Core Classes

The CCC Experience offers you a culturally focused syllabus, taught in England 's premier seat of learning. You will have the privilege of being taught by Cambridge Faculty members, who are experts in their field.

These classes are designed to offer you an exploration into a new subject, or a dive deeper into a subject you have visited already. You may choose four of these core classes –
THE TUDOR LEGACY, PHILOSOPHY & ETHICS, SHAKESPEARE, THE CHURCHILL YEARS, LAW & ADVOCACY

THE TUDOR LEGACY

This class focuses on the legacy of the most infamous English Tudor King, Henry VIII

Students will consider the evolution of a young Tudor Prince full of seeming virtue, into an obese monarch who married six times and ripped the English Church from the bosom of Rome . This course will give you the opportunity to formulate your own conclusions.

You will be taken on several class-related trips, to examine the physical legacy Henry VIII left for us to judge him by

SHAKESPEARE

This class will answer all your questions about the life and works of this great playwright & entertainer.

The enduring quality of Shakespeare's works is the opportunity they afford for interpretation. There have been a thousand Romeos for every Juliet. There will be creative writing workshops, where we want to hear your unique responses.

You will attend several special theatre performances – at the Shakespeare Festival and at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre

PHILOSOPHY & ETHICS

This class is designed to introduce students to philosophy by getting them to DO philosophy - to think carefully & critically about their own world-views

Philosophy is a journey for each of us; it nurtures your individuality and ultimately leads to self-discovery. Philosophical thinking is critical thinking, and these excellent transferable skills apply to problems in any field of study or endeavour.

THE CHURCHILL YEARS

This class looks at the contribution of Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill, a champion of British diplomacy.

His forenames testify to the richness of his English and American heritage. He expressed the vitality and national qualities of both nations, when he emerged as a prime architect of victory, in WWII.

"You ask what is our aim? I can answer in one word - VICTORY!" You will be taken on several class-related trips - including a tour of the Cabinet War Rooms, and a visit to Duxford, home of the American Air Museum .

LAW & ADVOCACY

This class will teach you about International law and the British Legal System. You will demonstrate your advocacy skills in a moot court trial.

You will be taught about international law, the UK's unwritten constitution and English Criminal law. Armed with this knowledge you will participate in a full-blown mock trial, where your nerves and knowledge will be tested.

A wig and English accent will be optional!
