ROMAN BATH

The Romans built this Classical Temple at Bath in the first century AD. You will have the opportunity to follow the paths of pilgrims from all over the Roman Empire , and visit the best-preserved Roman spa.

The Sacred Spring lies at the heart of this ancient temple. Water still rises here at the rate of over a million litres a day. Offerings have been thrown into this Spring throughout the ages, so come prepared to make a wish for your secret desire.

LITERARY BATH

This ancient spa town has provided inspiration for a multitude of renowned literary figures such as Jane Austen, who based her books Persuasion and Northanger Abbey here.

Most famously, the social life of Bath was brilliantly satirised in 'The Pickwick Papers' by Charles Dickens. When Pickwick tasted the famous Bath spa waters, they are said to have "a very strong flavour o'warm flat irons."
